Recycled Halloween Projects
With Halloween just a few weeks away, I thought it was a good time to have a recycled project review of the different craft items that I have done over the years for Halloween.
Here is a trick or treat bag I crocheted using recycled plastic orange newspaper sacks. I used a gallon milk jug bottom for the base of the inside of the pumpkin to give it a sturdy base. Here is the link to the complete plarn pumpkin trick or trick bag pattern.
This orange trick or treat bag was also crocheted using recycled orange newspaper bags. I added a microwave dinner tray and cut the top rim off. I then hole punched around the base evenly so I could crochet into the plastic tray for the base of this bag. This trick or treat bag has a basket look to it and could be made with white plastic bags should you not have access to the orange newspaper sacks.
One other recycled Halloween craft idea, that I have made is a party favor cup. The project uses a recycled plastic yogurt cup for the base. This is a great kid’s Halloween craft project, as the cup can then be decorated with yarn or even just construction paper. Here is the link to the yarn and construction paper project.
Here is one other party favor cup that I crocheted using vcr tape and some orange yarn. Again you can just decorate these cups however you’d like. They are great to use for candy or other treats at a Halloween party.
I hope you have enjoyed this little recycled Halloween craft roundup. Happy Halloween!
