Crocheted Chain Stitch Scarf

August 26, 2014 1 comment

I wanted to share my recent crocheted chain stitch scarf project. Chain stitch scarves are nothing really new but I wanted to try out the technique and post the results. Here is my first crocheted chain stitch scarf.

The finished size of this scarf is 5 inches wide by 6 feet long. I did a total of 20 rows. I would have crocheted a larger scarf but I only had a half a skein of each color of vintage sparkle yarn. One skein was a solid blue and the other was a variegated white to blue skein. The 6 foot length is a youth sized scarf and 7 feet is a more suitable length for an adult scarf.

Chain Stitch Scarf Pattern

H (5 mm) crochet hook
2.5-3 ozs Medium weight yarn in 2 colors (total yarn needed is nearly 6 ozs for youth size or 7 ozs for adult)

Chain a length of 6 feet long or more for the scarf.
