Thick Front Post Crocheted Hat

March 4, 2015 4 comments

Here is my very thick front post crocheted hat. The hat is crocheted by working all front post double crochet stitches in the round. The result is a comfortable very heavy winter hat that will keep you warm.

You can add a few extra rounds to make a longer hat as this is one more of a helmet cap as shown. I have included changes for a smaller ladies or youth size in the free crochet pattern below.

Crocheted T-Shirt Yarn Hat

September 1, 2013 7 comments

Here is my first attempt at a recycled t-shirt yarn hat. I did a little trial and error to get the hat so it fit comfortably on my head. Here is the finished hat that I crocheted from recycled t-shirt yarn.

Here is a photo of the hat taken flat. It’s a comfortable bucket type hat that could be worn to keep the sun off your head and face while fishing, in the garden or at the beach.

Recycled Plastic Baseball Cap

February 19, 2009 27 comments

Here is the long awaited recycled baseball cap. It’s crocheted from plastic grocery bags made into plarn. This ball cap fits snuggly on my head and actually looks better on my head than this picture shows. I added some ribbon but you can add many different embellishments to spice up your hat.
Anyway if you want a cool recycled hat, try out this project.
